SONG FROM IRAN
I walk between flowers alone ...
Passing (Golestan) flower fields and hills.
On my walk a fresh flower comes
with me, asking "where is your love's secret?" A thorn from a flower
that is stuck on my clothes
asks me "where is your love?"
I'd tell all my secrets about
love to the field!
So the flowers whispered it in the
morning light wind (Saba).
In this way everyone knows
the pain of my love story.
With the beauty of sky and moon
The flame of my love rises
Above the mist of Golestan gardens
A new flower is revealed.
It tells my (Muharram) secret
There is a thorn in my side
Take my beautiful flowers.
I walk between flowers alone ...
Passing flower fields and hills.
On my walk a fresh flower comes
with me, asking "where is your love's secret?" A thorn from a flower
that is stuck on my clothes
asks me "where is your love?"
I'd tell all my secrets about
love to the field!
